Just two games later, Super Bowl Wild Card Weekend really lives up to its name by giving NFL fans a great Saturday.
Almost all of the drama came from the first day of an NFL playoff game on Saturday night at a game where he was Jaguar He came back from a 27-point deficit to stun chargers31–30, with a 36-yard field goal from Riley Patterson on the last play of the game.
Trevor Lawrence threw four interceptions during the first half as the Jaguars trailed, 27-0, but played nearly perfect football after that. The 27-point comeback was the third-most in NFL postseason history.
Earlier in the game on Saturday, the 49ers also had a comeback, but it wasn’t as exciting. San francisco is late Seahawks, 17-16, at halftime before taking full charge in the second half en route to a 41-23 win. Like Lawrence, Brock Purdy struggled in the first half, but then rebounded to kick for 332 yards and three touchdowns for the game. Christian McCaffrey (136 total yards, one TD) and Deebo Samuel (six catches for 133 yards, one TD) also played big roles in the win.
Although there are now two games in the books for the wild card tour, there are still four more games to come, so buckle up and get ready.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the entire postseason schedule. (And don’t forget, there may be a neutral spot on this year’s AFC game title: if Invoices And heads They end up playing each other in the AFC Championships, and then the match will take place in Atlanta.)
Super Wild Card Weekend
Saturday 14 January
- (2) 49ers 41-23 over (7) Seahawks. The 49ers got a short scare from the Seahawks on a day when Seattle jumped out to a 17-16 halftime lead. In the second half, however, San Francisco broke up the game with a dominant performance. Brock Purdy threw for 332 yards while also becoming the first rookie in NFL history to total four touchdowns in a playoff game. (Purdie finished with three passing touchdowns and one rushing point.)
- (4) Jaguar 30-31 and more (5) Chargers. The Jaguars won this game by hitting one of the biggest comebacks in NFL history. The Jags trailed, 27-0, early in the game due to four interceptions by Trevor Lawrence, but rebounded to claim the stunning win, thanks in large part to Lawrence, who threw four touchdown passes.
Sunday 15 January
- (7) dolphins at (2) Billings (-10), at 1 p.m. ET (CBS, broadcast on Paramount +). These two teams split their respective season series with each team winning at home, but it is worth noting that both games were decided by three points or less. The big question here is who will start at quarterback for the Dolphins. At the moment, Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) and Teddy Bridgewater (finger) are both hit. If they can’t go, Skylar Thompson will start.
- (6) giants at 3 o’clock) Vikings (-3), 4:30 p.m. ET (Fox, stream on fuboTV). These two players played one of the fiercest games of the season on Christmas Eve in a game that was undecided until Greg Joseph kicked a 61-yard field goal on the final play. This will be Minnesota’s first home playoff game since the Minneapolis Miracle in January 2018.
- (6) crows at 3 o’clock) Bengals (-6.5), 8:15 p.m. ET (NBC, stream on fuboTV). It’s not clear if Lamar Jackson (knee) will play on Sunday, but even if he did, it would be his first action in six weeks if he was on the field. Jackson led the Ravens to a 19-17 victory over the Bengals again in Week 5, but the Bengals got their revenge with a 27-16 win in Week 18 to claim a chapter of the season series.
Monday, January 16th
- (5) Cowboys in 4) hacker (+3), 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN, stream on fuboTV). If the Cowboys are going to advance to the Divisional Round, they’re going to have to do something they’ve never done before: beat Tom Brady. The Cowboys are 0-7 all-time against Buccaneers QB and that includes a Week 1 loss where Tampa Bay topped Dallas 19-3.

If the Giants beat the Vikings on Sunday, they’ll play the Eagles, which would leave the 49ers hosting the Cowboys-Buccaneers winner. If the Vikings win, they will play the 49ers while the Eagles will host the Cowboys-Buccaneers winner. Whichever team hosts the winner of the Cowboys-Buccaneers game will surely play on Sunday, January 22nd.
