There are only a few days left until 2023 and I already have mixed feelings about the new year.
On the one hand, it is It’s supposed to be a fresh start And a chance to do better. On the other hand, some old ghosts from years past still haunt us – from Covid-19 to divisive politics.
I think we could all use a little change.
To this point, I’m remixing Pop Life Chronicles a bit.
Towards the end of last year, I asked you, dear readers, what you enjoyed most about this newsletter—and overwhelmingly, I said it was the section that gives you something to munch on. Cocktails first, of course.

seriously, Where will Twitter be? If we remove all this anger?
Sure, some of the things people choose to argue about are ridiculous, but when it comes to Celine Dion, her supporters aren’t playing around.
The singer recently left Rolling Stone’s list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time Dion’s fans erupted in anger.
Lists like this It’s often orchestrated to stimulate discussion, but Dion is indisputably one of the most amazing singers ever to hold a mic. And given her recent revelation that she is unable to perform due to a rare condition being diagnosed neurosisthe exclusion seemed even more severe.
Now, some pessimistic would say that being ignored was the best thing to happen to the arrangement, as people talk. But if you want the music crowd to take your judgments seriously, that doesn’t include singers like Dion – or Dionne Warwickis also missing from the list – doesn’t seem like the best strategy.

It can be difficult to maintain a balance between controlling your narrative and feeling like you’re telling the same story over and over. Let’s keep in mind, however, that Harry He has a book for sale – This entails doing press and exposure.

Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street
Always, when a new year comes, I start looking at my money and my undertakings to stick to the budget. (I don’t actually stick to a budget).
Now, my finances are hardly of the level that Bernie Madoff was interested in, but their ups and downs Massive Ponzi scheme It remains one of the scariest white collar crimes of all time — so I’m in for this Netflix documentary series about the disgraced financier, who died in 2021 while serving a 150-year prison sentence.
