The district attorney said detectives were at the home around 11 a.m. to investigate the aqua isization of child pornography on the Internet. Da says he called. We are having a conversation with the 23-year-old suspect in that case and the man assured the finders that the cellphone in the house belonged to him. The DA says the detectives wanted to keep that phone as evidence and at that point, the man after realizing what they were trying to do, took it home and got a gun. Da says the detective also followed the man inside the house, saw the gun pointed at them, then ran outside, police officers and county law enforcement officials arrived, and heard a shot. At one point, officers eventually entered the home, and found that the man had killed himself. The case as a precautionary measure directed at the authorities. The issue is the shelter in place, the neighbors ordered. I just wanted to know what happened. Then one of the police said very clearly you are not allowed to go out and then don’t be too close to the window and the doors will just go out and stay there. you know? Nearby schools were also asked to shelter in place as the search party and police were out, potentially dealing with what they thought was a dangerous situation at the time. At 11 a.m. Thursday to talk to him about possession of child pornography online, the man confirmed his mobile phone was at the center of the investigation, authorities said. After investigators took the phone for evidence, the man retreated further into the house and allegedly pointed a gun at them, fleeing. Investigators from the home and Susquehanna Township police responded to help. The district attorney’s office said officers then heard a gunshot inside the home, and when officers entered they found the man dead. Police are investigating, and the incident prompted the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety to issue a shelter-in-place for nearby residents.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division of the District Attorney’s Office went to the man’s home on Beaufort Hunt Drive in Susquehanna Township around 11 a.m. Thursday to talk to him about obtaining child pornography on the Internet.
The authorities said the man confirmed that his mobile phone was at the center of the interrogation.
After detectives took the phone for evidence, the man retreated further into the house and allegedly pointed a gun at them.
Investigators fled the home and Susquehanna Township Police responded to help.
The prosecutor’s office said officers then heard a gunshot inside the house.
When the officers entered, they found the man dead.
