AMD Ryzen 7000 Raphael and Next Generation AM5 Platform

The highly anticipated AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs, codenamed Raphael, and the next-generation AM5 platform will be a big focus during the Computex 2022 flagship. Ryzen 7000 CPUs will be showcased on the all-new platform, farewell to the previous AM4 platform. The new AM5 platform is expected to be revealed in the form of two premium chipsets, the X670 and X670E that will target the high-end segment first before launching more mainstream options by the end of this year or early 2023. We expect AMD to show off some new performance demos and talk about the specifications of these chips. But make sure that a proper launch will target a Q3 time frame.

Radeon graphics update: RDNA 3 and beyond?

Another surprise that AMD has revealed could be in the form of its next-generation RDNA 3 graphics line that is expected to be launched in the second half of 2022. AMD could show us a brand new roadmap that gives us a glimpse into the success of its future RDNA portfolio of RDNA GPUs. 2 or they can also give us a first look at the technologies or design of the next generation Radeon RX 7000 series. With that said, the AMD Radeon RX 6000 ‘RDNA 2’ family is complete and it’s time for AMD to start talking about what’s coming next!

Radeon Technologies: FSR 2.0, New Adrenalin Updates, Feature Builds

The Radeon segment will not only depend on the hardware, but the software will also be an important part of the keyword. AMD could announce more titles that showcase its new FSR 2.0 technology while offering updates on more features within its Adrenalin line of drivers. AMD Advantage notebooks can also be offered with enhanced designs that rock both RDNA 2 and Zen 3+ core IP addresses.

Dragon Range, Phoenix, Rembrandt Desktop APUs, or something else?

To be honest, the things we mentioned above are well known and AMD has always been known to take a step forward and raise the scenes of its next-generation technologies much earlier than they are planned to launch. Some of the major products that may be more detailed include the Dragon Range and the Phoenix & Rembrandt APU (desktop). Maybe we could see AMD announce the Threadripper 5000 lineup for the consumer segment, I mean, that’s not often what I’m asking for? But rest assured, the AMD Computex 2022 keyword will be full of announcements and revelations, so be sure to tune in to the live stream on May 23, 2022, at 2:00 PM (GMT +8).
